William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564 - 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's prominent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon" (or simply "The Bard"). His surviving works consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.
The engraving came back very small at first, but they offered to re-do it for me in time for my son's 21st birthday, and now it is perfect. I know he will love it! It just looks and feels very special. Huge thanks to Janet at A E Williams for great communication and for sorting the engraving out for me. Fantastic service that you don't see very often nowadays. I will definitely be coming back for more items in the future. THANK YOU :)
